A B O U T U S
Carly Roberts is an Assistant Professor in the College of Education at the University of Washington in Seattle. She received her PhD in special education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013. Her research focuses on improving educational equity, instruction, and inclusion for students with intellectual disability and extensive support needs. She also studies models of supporting teachers of students with intellectual disability and extensive support needs through preservice teacher education and ongoing teacher development for inservice teachers. Prior to working in higher education she was an special education teacher in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Autumn Eyre is a doctoral candidate at the University of Washington in Seattle. She started her career in Public Relations and her Bachelor of Arts is from Central Washington University. After deciding to become a teacher, she received her Master of Art in Teaching from Seattle Pacific University. She was a paraprofessional for two years and a special education teacher for five years working in a Title 1 school. While teaching she completed her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) coursework at the University of Washington. Her research focus is on reducing special education teacher attrition by supporting educators, specifically striving to increase resiliency factors.
